About George

Longer ago than he cares to - or indeed can - remember, George started out in radio comedy, where he quickly became script editor of Week Ending before going on to become lead writer on The News Quiz and to work on programmes including Dead Ringers, Loose Ends and, to his surprise, the Woman’s Hour 50th Anniversary Special.  He adapted Karel Capek’s War with the Newts for Radio 3 and Stephen Potter’s Upmanship books for Radio 4 and worked with Patrick Barlow to bring the adventures of Nigel Molesworth to life.
In television George has worked on award-winning programmes from Smack the Pony to Horrible Histories, taking in everything from The Weakest Link to Mock the Week to Panorama.  He also enjoys the challenge of work as a script editor and storyliner bringing an understanding of a writer’s thought-process to the job of ensuring the best possible scripts are delivered on time.
